2014 Worldwide Candle Lighting
Sunday, December 14, 2014

This ceremony is a nonreligious event.
It is for all parents, family members, and friends who would like to honor their children who have died at any age, for any reason. The event is held at 7:00 pm for one hour in every time zone to create a 24-hour wave of light that encircles the globe to honor and remember all children who have died. The Worldwide Candle Lighting is a way of giving bereaved families around the world the chance to share their loss and remember their child... so that their light may always shine!

Refreshments and social hour following the candlelighting.

Held annually the second Sunday in December. The Compassionate Fritnds Worldwide Candle Lighting® unites family and friends around the globe as they light candles for one hour to honor and remember children who have died at any age from any cause. As candles are lit at 7 p.m. local time, creating a virtual wave of light, hundreds of thousands of persons commemorate and honor children in a way that transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious, and political boundaries.
